First of its Kind, Northern Star Program Brings Three Powers Together for North American Solar Eclipse

Across North America, Atlian, Norse, and Tozarian scientists looked towards the skies as the three nations tracked the 2024 North American Solar Eclipse. The eclipse was tracked from Mexico to Canada as it traversed the North American continent.

Around 12:30 CST officials from the Atlian Space Agency, the Agencia Espacial Imperial de Atlia (Imperial Space Agency of Atlia) reported to other Tozarian and Norse officials they were witnessing the solar eclipse and provided pictures to show the view from Northern Mexico. Excited by this news, Tozarian and Norse officials confirmed they were en route to their location along the American Canadian border.

Norse and Tozarian officials from the North Sea Air and Space Command, and the Tozarian NGC Aerospace confirmed around 15:00 ADT they had found a location and confirmed that they had located each other and were in place for their viewing of the celestial event.

The solar eclipse began around 15:22 ADT as officials began documenting the gradual decline in sunlight as the slow transit of the moon. Excitement filled the air as Norse and Tozarian officials were joined by friends and other scientists from around New England and the Canadian Maritimes. A noticeable pop in the color red within nature was also documented during partiality.

As totality began around 16:33 ADT, officials admired the beauty of the sunlight waning along Mt. Katahdin in the distance across the border. As the moon quickly covered the sun, the area went quiet as everyone looked upwards and admired the total solar eclipse. Officials from both agencies quickly took photographs to mark the event, with officials from NGC Aerospace documenting stunning photos from their phones.

There with officials from the Tozarian and Norse agencies, was the Tozar and Tozarena of the House of Dearmad Otillicaires. As totality darkened the area, their Imperial Serenities were seen sharing a kiss as they admired the solar eclipse. Both the Tozar and Tozarena expressed joy and excitement at the event, sharing in laughter with the Tozarian and Norse officials.

Officials from NGC Aerospace quickly shared their photos with the Norse Air and Space Command for distribution after the eclipse ended. Officials from both agencies shared their excitement over ice cream at a local ice cream parlor before parting ways and heading back to their respective communities.

Air and Space Command and NGC Aerospace officials expressed concern over safety along the highway as traffic was at a standstill in a region of under one thousand people usually as hundreds of cars lined the roads. These concerns were later verified as police from the American town, of Houlton announced a traffic jam of over 11km (7 mi) had begun as tourists flooded the region.

Atlian, Tozarian, and Norse officials have agreed the event was a first for the Wind Rose Community, as a joint space program had been conducted. An emblem to commemorate the event of the historical space program has been confirmed by all three Imperial Houses, with publications of photos and the emblem expected within the week.

Tozarian officials have also confirmed NGC Aerospace has established the Ugarit Field Center where Tozarian and Norse officials documented the solar eclipse. It is expected Ugarit shall be formalized into law during the Second Imperial Congress in June 2024.
